Error Message: There is no item category assigned to account 476500/INT
Diagnosis
This error can be occurred if you activated document splitting in system. Once document splitting is active, each G/L account should be assign to document splitting category. If any G/L account is missing, system will show this error.
This error will not show during simulate or simulate general ledger. But once you try to post document, system not allowed you to post document due to missing configuration.
Solution
Menu path: SPRO >> Financial Accounting (New) >> General Ledger Accounting (New) >> Business Transactions >> Document Splitting >> Classify G/L Accounts for Document Splitting
1. Enter chart of G/L account
2. Find missing G/L account
In this step, you will see that there is no G/L account 476500 assigned here.
3. Assign G/L account category for document splitting
Press <New Entries button> on top left of screen. Then, enter G/L account that you need to assign category for document splitting.
